Chapel of the Holy Cross Sedona, Arizona c. 1956 Margarite Brunswig Staub, a pupil of Frank Lyoyd Wright, originally proposed this design for a convent in Hungary. World War II intervened so the original 500 foot tall cathedral was never built. Instead this 200 foot version was proposed and constructed as a Catholic chapel outside of Sedona, Arizona. The Stations of the Cross are Roman numerals made of railroad nails. < back | next > |
